Rulivio privacy policy (draft — review before publishing)

Rulivio turns what you type into phone automations. It is built to keep your data on your phone.

What stays on your phone: your rules, run history, notes, the contacts and apps you pick, and on-device AI processing. Rulivio has no account, no analytics and no ads, and runs no server that receives your data.

Contacts: Rulivio cannot read your contacts. When you pick a contact with Android's picker, it stores only that contact's name and the number or email you picked.

What can leave your phone, and only when you choose it:

  • Cloud AI (optional, your own API key): when a rule uses cloud AI, Rulivio sends only the data you approved for that rule (for example, the text you shared) to the provider you configured (such as OpenAI, Anthropic or Google). If you turn on "use cloud AI to understand requests", what you type in the request box is sent to that provider. Their privacy policy applies to that data.
  • Model download: downloading an on-device model contacts our download server; no personal data is sent.
  • Reports: "Report AI output" opens your email app with the request and the AI's answer filled in; nothing is sent until you press Send.
  • API keys are encrypted with the Android Keystore, are never backed up, and are never shared with us.

Deleting data: uninstalling Rulivio deletes everything. Delete individual rules, notes and providers in the app.
